SEO Audit Services

A practical SEO audit that tells you what to fix first.

A website SEO audit should reduce uncertainty. SmarterVisibility reviews technical SEO, on-page structure, internal links, WordPress health, content gaps and conversion friction, then turns the findings into an ordered action plan.

What an SEO audit looks for

Audits are useful when they connect a problem to a decision. A list of hundreds of automated warnings is not the same as a useful review. Some warnings are critical, some are harmless in context and some are symptoms of a bigger structural issue. The purpose of the audit is to separate those categories and explain the order in which they should be handled.

Crawlability & indexation

Robots directives, XML sitemaps, index settings, canonical signals, redirect behavior and whether important pages can be discovered.

On-page structure

Titles, H1s, headings, page intent, duplicate topics, thin service pages and whether the copy explains the offer clearly.

Internal architecture

Navigation, orphaned pages, internal links, topic relationships and whether authority flows toward important commercial pages.

WordPress health

Plugin overlap, theme output, index controls, performance basics, broken forms, outdated routes and technical clutter.

Content opportunities

Missing service pages, weak informational coverage, outdated articles, competing pages and useful questions that deserve content.

Conversion friction

Unclear calls to action, weak trust information, difficult contact routes and pages that attract traffic without guiding the visitor.

Technical SEO audit priorities

Technical SEO determines whether search engines can access and interpret the website reliably. The audit checks for issues such as pages blocked from indexing, conflicting canonical tags, redirect chains, broken internal links, duplicate URL patterns and sitemap problems. On WordPress, technical checks can also reveal plugin settings that overlap or contradict each other.

Performance is reviewed in context. A page should work well on mobile, load its main content reliably and avoid obvious layout or interaction problems. The goal is not to chase a perfect laboratory score at the expense of the website. The goal is to identify performance issues that create a poor experience or make the site unnecessarily heavy.

On-page and content audit

Every important page should have a clear search purpose. During the audit, service pages are checked for intent, useful depth, descriptive titles, a logical heading structure and internal links. Pages that target nearly the same topic can compete with each other. Pages that are too broad can struggle to demonstrate relevance. Pages that are too thin may not answer enough of the visitor’s questions.

Content is also reviewed as a system. Insights should support the business rather than exist as an isolated blog archive. A useful article can attract a visitor, answer a question and then link to a service page that offers the next step. That relationship matters for both user journeys and site structure.

When an SEO audit makes sense

An audit is especially useful before a redesign, after a migration, when organic traffic has declined, when a WordPress site has accumulated years of plugins and content, or when a business is investing in content but does not know which pages deserve attention first. It can also be a sensible starting point for a site that has never had structured SEO work.
